I first got into photography my senior year of high school when I took a photography course because it sounded like a fun little class. That class was over ten years ago, but it spurned a hobby that has continued to consume what little free time I have. It is the process of photography that gives me the most satisfaction rather than the final image. I don't have the talent to do it professionally, but photography gives me so much on a personal level. It encourages me to go outside, to experiment and most importantly it provides a means to relax and let go of the stress that sometimes holds me down.
It's nothing special, but thanks for visiting my little site.
Welcome to “Through an old lens”. The heart of this site is the Classic Camera galleries. Here I feature vintage cameras from my ever increasing collection. I believe the best way to appreciate old cameras is to take them off the shelf and put them through their intended function. To this end the camera galleries contain not just basic information on the cameras themselves, but also photographs taken with them. I hope visitors are inspired to take their own old cameras out of the closet and put them back into use.

The other galleries on this site feature photographs taken with both film and digital cameras. While I love shooting film I also enjoy using digital cameras with both modern and old lenses for the unique capabilities they offer.
